Committee on Responsible Policymaking (CRP)

The Committee on Responsible Policymaking is a nonpartisan initiative founded by our office. CRP exists to advocate for legislative reform that prioritizes clarity, compassion, and real-world impact over partisanship and bureaucracy. We believe policy should be written for people—not headlines.

CRP brings together advocates, experts, and public servants to improve legislation before it becomes law, ensuring it serves communities effectively and equitably.

Current Legislative Priority & How to Help

Our current priority is advocating for critical changes to the Senate version of the so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill.” CRP is working to:

  • Protect Medicaid access for vulnerable populations, including those with chronic illnesses.

  • Remove non-germane provisions that dilute the bill’s core purpose.

  • Extend the Enhanced Premium Tax Credits (EAPTC) through 2026 and beyond.

  • Restore trust in the legislative process through transparency and targeted reform.

We’ve delivered letters to every U.S. Senator, met with key members of Congress, and are continuing to build bipartisan support for smarter, people-first policy.
